2nd MRI Is Tomorrow
Not even sure what to say here. Everything I have said, I have said a hundred times before. We hope for a good MRI tomorrow. I know everyone is joining us in prayers and good thoughts. This is a moment we will go through time and again although this MRI in particular, which will hopefully confirm initial findings from the first MRI is particularly important to all of us. Cancer is frightening, terrifying actually, like a wolf stalking us in the middle of the night on an empty street. We are at that moment of fear, looking around, feeling safe but almost afraid to look and hoping nothing is there. We are hoping for a grand celebration tomorrow, to walk away from that rollercoaster that is cancer even if we always stay in the amusement park close to the ride. I hope that tomorrow I will be elated and for those of you that have seen "Boston Legal", that I can be proud enough at our steadfast research, determination and results that the name of the very next post will be entitled "Danny Crane!" (I told you I would be quoting movies and tv at the beginning of this blog)

Greetings Dan, Jake!
I love reading your adventure. It makes me happy to see people learning about what is important in life.
My grandfather, uncle, mom and I went to China when I was 12, we followed Marco Polo's route through the whole silk road from beginning to end. China from the Eastern shores, to the Western Deserts, out by Russia, and Afghanistan.
My Grandfather was a Psychologist, and this was the 80's, so we brought shock therapy to China, touring insane asylums all over the country.
I remember being a kid, listening to them talk, and watching the 'insane & institutionalized' people in the other country. The therapy mainly consisted of Tai Chi, exercise, meditation, and exposure to beauty/peace. I remember thinking, we are the ones learning here, even as a kid. I am so glad you are experiencing India with your son. I learned so much on that trip. We were one of the first western groups to be let into western China in 50 years. People were tripping on me the red-head. I went to a cave in the middle of the desert where Christians had made it to the deserts of China. I spit water mellon seeds in a contest with other locals, and kicked their ASS! So many things are burned into my head, and your trip is bringing them back for me.
HEY: Have you read Shantaram? If not, I have to send you the book, it is all about India, and probably the best (TRUE) book written in 20 years. Send me an email, treggon@treggon.com.
Much love to you guys, and good luck on your MRI.
