Hi Dan and Jake, It's Joe - the nurse case manager from SD. I love your blogs - the journal of "Dan and Jake's Great Adventure". I've always been fascinated w/ India - the culture, food (I like my Lassi cold and NOT salty), people and the mixture of eastern and western medicine. Plus I love Bollywood movies (Lagaan, Monsoon Wedding, etc.) and let's not forget "Bombay Dream" - a musical produced by Andrew Lloyd Weber opened in the UK and Broadway (if you have a chance listen to A.R. Rahman's music). It's good to read Jake's progress. Actually it's good to read how you both are doing. Kudos to you both for your courage, inspiration, patience and for opening your arms and heart to a new culture. I've thought about you both always - actually just last night I was watching "No Reservations" with Anthony Bourdain on DVD (series 2)when he visited Rajasthan, Kolkata and Bombay (or Mumbai). It's "shock culture" deja vu and I'm always reminded when we have American visitors in the Philippines and can't forget the look in their eyes - sometimes I think their eyes are saying "cool" and at times "no, you didn't". Take good care!
